England rugby star & DFY Ambassador Sadia Kabeya visits our schools

Fresh from her silver medal win at the Women’s Rugby world cup in New Zealand we have been lucky enough to welcome Sadia Kabeya the 20 year old rising star of Women’s rugby, to speak at two of our schools. Sadia spoke about her journey to the top of the women’s game - at just 20 years old having already played in a world cup is a phenomenal achievement and the children were thrilled to hear about how she had got there. Sadia epitomises all of the DFY values - hard work, dedication, team work and sacrifice. It was evident from her talk that she really inspired the children to think about working hard to achieve their goals. Discussion at the end of the talk showed the children really thinking deeply about her journey and asking insightful questions. We love to arrange visits from our ambassadors into the schools. It really highlights the values that our DFY coaches are trying to inspire the children with on a daily basis and shows how important it is for the children to have big dreams and work hard to achieve them!
