Tottenham Women's player Kerys Harrop inspires young footballers at Ark Franklin Primary School

We were thrilled to have Kerys Harrop, who plays as a defender for Tottenham Women's football team, visit Ark Franklin Primary School last week to give an inspirational talk to the students and train the girls' football team.

Kerys is involved with the DFY Sports Ambassador programme and kindly gave up her time to share her experiences with the students and talk about the challenges she has faced in her 20 years as a professional female footballer.

During her talk, Kerys emphasised the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance in achieving success, both on and off the field. Her values really chimed with the values ARK Franklin consistently instills in its pupils.

After the talk, Kerys conducted a training session with the upper school girls' football team, sharing her expertise and providing valuable tips and feedback to the young players. They were thrilled to meet her and it was wonderful to see how enthusiastically they got stuck into their training session.

We feel sure that her visit will have inspired lots of the pupils to work hard at their sports and dream big! As well as PE and after school clubs part of our work with schools involves the DFY Ambassador programme. Get in touch if you would like to find out more about how this could benefit your school or organisation.
